Marriage

Dear Friends,

I tied knot with my high-school love on 14th Feb 2015 and its been more than 3 years since we married. I may be still naive but I would like to share my understanding of this special relationship called ''Marriage''.

Our relationship started with friendship then love then marriage and now we are again best friends.

We both live away from our families in Dubai and hence we are both each others support system.

I feel the most unique element about our relationship is equality. We do not follow the typical mentality of how a husband and a wife should behave in terms of keeping the relationship going. We don't have any rules for e.g only wife has to cook food, do the daily chores and that only husband has to earn money, go to work, take financial decisions etc. We do not think of other as less and respect each others decisions. We both have the freedom to live the way we want and have equal responsibilities in everything. Just imagine how you behave with your friend - you don't control the decisions or liking of your friends right? Then why does it change when a guy becomes a husband and a girl becomes a wife...???

We have maintained that friendship between us and hence we both love being with each other.

"One can love someone truly and unconditionally, if one feels equal". We support each other to fulfill individual wishes and encourage each others dreams.

Our simple rule is no compulsions no rules no commands, only Love ,Trust and Respect.
