Travel Dubai

Experience Dubai like a resident.

Dear Friends,

Dubai is a city like no other. It has little bit of everything from all parts of the world like the best of theme parks, water parks, beaches, food from all over the world, amazing hotels, museums, tallest tower, adventure sports, night clubs and not to forget shopping!!!

Here is an all inclusive list for things to do in Dubai. It is a ten day itinerary to make your travel plan easy and to ensure you taste every flavor this city has in its plate.

Day 1: Arrival in Dubai. This will be a hectic day since you would have had a flight journey. Hence lets keep it little relaxed. My suggestion would be to visit the Festival City Mall  and witness the amazing laser light and fountain show. This show starts from 7 pm till 12 midnight - every 30 minutes. Its a 10 to 15 min show.

Do try the Nutella cheesecake at the famous cheese cake factory here. In case you reach early you can go around in the mall and also visit the Ikea store.

Entry tickets: Free

Day 2: Lets have a glimpse of Dubai today. After breakfast plan for a half day Open Van City Tour which will cover Dubai Museum, Sheikh Palace, Burj Al Arab beach, Dubai Canal, Atlantis, Dubai Marina.

Its lunch time and after a sumptuous meal lets head towards the Dubai Mall- The biggest mall in Asia. Be ready with your walking shoes as it is really huge. Do not miss to see the Aquarium inside this mall. Evening around 6-7 pm (this is peak time and hence pre-booking is must) book a slot for the worlds tallest tower The Burj Khalifa - At the Top for a spectacular view of the city.

Also you can witness the fountain show once you come down. And closely witness it from a floating bed.

Entry Tickets: Booking is required for Burj Khalifa. Dubai Mall and fountain show has free entry. However, tickets are required for visiting the floating bed to closely witness the fountain show.

Day 3: After breakfast, lets head towards Dubai Frame which will take the visitors to a journey through time on three different levels: old Dubai, present Dubai and future Dubai. Plan this in the morning around 11 am. It will take approximate 1 hr to 1 hr 30 mins.

After lunch head towards Miracle garden which a mesmerizing flower garden. Plan this in the afternoon around 3 to 4.30 pm. Near to that is the Global Village which is a showcase of more than 30 countries in the world. Experience the culture, food, shopping and attractions of different nations. It also has some amazing live shows like stunt shows, dance performances , music shows etc. Dont even think of missing it. Its open at 4 pm till midnight.

Entry Tickets: Pre-booking is required for Dubai frame. You can buy the tickets from the counter for Miracle garden and Global village or even pre-book it.

Day 4: After breakfast, enjoy some free time till 2 pm. You can go out for some shopping in nearby market or relax in the hotel. UAE is a land of deserts and the trip will be incomplete without witnessing the golden sands.

Opt for a Desert Safari tour. It provides door to door service or from certain pick up points. The total duration of the tour will be 7 to 8 hours. You can experience camel ride, Tanoura dance, Belly dance, Dune bashing, Quad biking, amazing sunset and dinner in this tour.

Entry Tickets: Pre-booking is required (Group tour or private tour option is available)

Day 5: Start off early today and after an early breakfast lets visit another Emirate " Abudhabi " (capital city). It is one to one and half  hour journey by car (booking a car is more convenient today). Visit the Grand Mosque. Try to reach here by 9.30 am so that you can spend more time getting awed and inspired by its beauty.

I would suggest to have some light lunch and then head towards Ferrari World, which is a Ferrari theme based adventure park. It is home to the worlds fastest roller coaster (240 kmph). Its has many more exciting and simulator rides and a must visit for car lovers and adventure freaks.

Entry Tickets: Grand Mosque - Free and Ferrari world tickets can be bought at the counter or pre-book it online.

Day 6: Dubai is famous for its splendid malls and shopping. So today lets treat the shopaholics and lets go mall hopping.

Dubai has an excellent infrastructure and the Metro has amazing connectivity, gives a full view of the city and runs along the Sheikh Zayed Road.

Few malls which are worth a visit are: Dragon mart, Deira city centre, Burjuman, Mall of the Emirates)MOE) and Ibn Batuta Mall (this one is my favorite). While returning back from MOE or Ibn batuta, Limousine ride (optional) will be a very relaxing option to go back to the hotel. Its a one hour ride in the Luxurious Limousine.

Entry Tickets: Metro tickets can be purchased at the Metro station. Mall entry is free. Pre-booking is required for Limousine ride.

Day 7: There are many theme parks and water parks in Dubai. Plan to visit any one of your choice.

To name a few: Aquaventure and the Lost Chambers, IMG world of Adventure, VR park in Dubai mall, Motion Gates and Bollywood Theme park, Wild Wadi Waterpark.

Please do check the rides online to match your adrenaline rush and then select the park of your interest.

Aquaventure water park is next to the Atlantis Hotel. You can opt for a one night stay in the 5 Star Atlantis and experience true luxury. If you are staying here, then the park ticket is included.

Dubai has the best quality Gold shopping. Gold Gold everywhere. For those who are not interested in theme parks, do visit the Gold Souq in Deira or Meena Bazaar. Believe me, you will always fall short of time when it comes to jewellery shopping (even for window shopping). The Deira Gold Souq has to its credit the world's biggest gold ring in the world. Kanz Jewellers has been displaying the world's largest gold ring, weighting 63.856 kg.

Entry Tickets: All adventure parks and water parks require entry tickets. It can be bought at the counter or online. Gold souq has free entry.

Day 8: After Breakfast plan to visit the Dolphin Show and the Creek Park at around 11 am. It will take approx 1 hour there.

Then after lunch you can experience the Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates (MOE). Ski Dubai is more fun for kids. After MOE you can try the Marina Dhow Cruise with dinner or Yacht ride which will give a view of some of the most outstanding architecture of Dubai and the lighted skyscrapers.

Try to visit one of the night clubs on a Thursday or Friday night.

Entry Tickets: Ski world and Dolphin show tickets can be bought online or at the counter.

Pre-booking is required for Dhow cruise or Yacht ride

Day 9: Lets relax at the beach today. After breakfast plan to visit the La Mer beach. It offers laidback fun at Dubai's eclectic beachfront. From breezy calm to action-packed fun, La Mer has something for everyone. La Mer's brand-new waterpark park " Laguna" is now open and offers some amazing rides.

If you do not wish to soak yourself in the Laguna, then you can visit City Walk Dubai which offers an array of cafes, restaurants and shopping in an outdoor retail complex with a tree-lined esplanade and central fountain.

Entry Ticket: Beach access is free. Tickets required for Laguna Water Park.

Day 10: Day of Departure.
